The last number one hit of the seventies and the first of the
80' was Another Brick in the wall by Pink Floyd. The next and
first exclusively 80's number one was Brass in pockets by the
Pretenders. There were 23 other number ones that year including
hits from Abba, the Specials, Police, Blondie and a Disco classic
from Kelly Marie. Sadly the year Ended on a low note, following
his murder, John Lennon's Christmas number one, Starting over
was replaced at the top spot by st Winifreds School choir. Sorry
but this tune makes it into our worst
of the 80's music list.
